Breaky Bottom 2020!
We are proud to supply Peter Hall's exquisite English Sparkling wines from one of the oldest vineyards in East Sussex.
Breaky Bottom sits in a beautiful secluded fold
in the Sussex Downs – wonderfully remote; Peter Hall planted the vineyard in 1974, seeing the potential offered by a climate similar to that of Champagne and the Loire. At the same time modern plant science was developing early-ripening varieties, and demand was emerging for clean, elegant cool-climate wines.
After the Christmas flurry of sales we are pleased to say his wines are proving popular in January 2020. Cuveé Oliver Minkley 2011at £29.99 per bottle proved a great hit over the festive season with its hints of quince, lemon peel and brioche.
The start of the 2020 has already seen the legendary Cuveé Koizumi Yakumo prove popular with its soft red fruits and toasty vanilla it is very good value at £31.99 per bottle and is a fine match with sushi.
Both of these Cuveés are fast running out so get in touch fast if you would like to try them! They are likely to run out in 2020.
We love visiting Breaky Bottom so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like some recommendations as to which of these limited batches you fancy and we will deliver to where ever you are.
In our view Cuveé Michelle Moreau 2014 is a must try and a great steal at the price of only £29.50 per bottle.
