Our new wines from Saint Saturnin & Terrasses du Larzac

We are very pleased to say that we now stock wines from the Langudoc Appellation, Saint Saturnin, and the neighbouring AOP, Terrasses du Larzac. These are fantastic wines including some delicious reds and rosés of which we are the sole importers.

The wines we have selected and currently have in stock include the following:

Le Calade both red and rosé, these are both easy drinking fruit driven IGP wines and are available at £9.50.

Vin d'Une Nuit is Saint Saturnin's iconic red with a lovely blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault. The embossed bottle has been produced by Saint Saturnin for decades and it is a firm favourite with many, including us! It is available at £10.99.

L'Exception is a Grenache dominated light yet red fruit driven rosé. It is quite delicious and lasts long on the finish. It is available for £11.99.

A Mille Années Lumiere. This wine has a lovely garnet colour with a nose of black fruits, blackberries and a touch of spice typical of the region. £13.99.

Terrasses du Larzac was recently lauded by the Telegraph as a relatively unknown but excellent Appellation. Set in the foothills of the Cevennes, the terraces descend from the high Larzac plateau escaping the burning summer heat of the Langeudoc plane. The limestone terroir allows for excellent drainage and these wines are gaining in popularity. We cannot recommend Les Hauts d'Arboras enough and it also one to put down for a few years should you wish. Small black fruits, subtle and soft, mocha, liquorice and a spicy finish. £18.50.
