The Fine Wine Importers Christmas Mixed Case No. 1

This Fine Wine Importers Christmas mixed case includes some of our imported classics. 
 
The case includes a Chateau Haut Pougnan, Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux, 2022. A delicate and light white predominately made up of Sauvignon Blanc (70%). It has a well balanced acidity with a floral nose and is neither too dry or too fruity. It is also 25% Semillion and 5% Muscadelle. 
 
A bottle of 'Les Princes' from Domaine Ménard-Gaborit, Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie 2023.  Lemon, fresh apple and peach combine with crushed minerality making this a delicious wine and perfect example of muscadet from the Loire. It is a zesty, creamy white wine which matches perfectly with oysters, mussels or grilled sardines. The lees aging gives it a delicious saline quality. 100% Melon de Bourgogne.
 
A bottle of Echine d’Ane, IGP Saint Guilhem Le Desert, Grenache Noir, 2020. Delicious red fruits, spices, fresh and fruity. This 100% grenache noir is an exciting new find from this little known but now sought after appellation in the Languedoc. IGP Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert. Try with rabbit or chicken dishes.
 
A bottle of Chateau Fonsalade, Saint Chinian 2019. This award winning wine is a fantastic example of a great St Chinian consisting of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah. Dark fruits and spices provide a delicious well structured wine with elegant tannins. A great accompaniment to duck á l'orange, wild boar or chinese dishes.
 
A bottle ofTerra Libra Rouge 2018, AOP Terrasses du Larzac. Grown on schist terroir and with grape varieties of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, this is an outstanding example of the great wines now being produced on the Terrasses du Larzac. With a nose of concentrated ripe fruits, moka and spices it is round and elegant in the mouth. It has notes of liquorice, dark red fruits and spices. Long on the finish. Pair with grilled meats and herbs (preferably l’Aubrac beef), game and all cheeses.
 
And a bottle of  Rosé d’une Nuit, Saint Saturnin, Rosé 2023, AOP Languedoc. Delicious small red fruits, crisp and delicate in the mouth. Great with soft cheeses, olives and anchovies. Rosé with a rose petal color, with delicate aromas of citrus and red fruits. Vin d'Une Nuit, wine to be drunk in one night, is Saint Saturnin's iconic rosé with a lovely blend of Grenach and Cinsault. This is Sanit Saturnin's icon rosé and has been produced by Saint Saturnin for decades and it is a firm favourite with many, including us!
